Since 1990 she works and lives with her family in Saxony.
Ms Pohl-Roux works for and with handicapped citizens since 1988.
Her support includes help on everyday issues and questions and extends to the organisation on working places on the 1st labour market with demanding occupations mainly focusing on the department of telecommunications.
Her most important aim is the inclusion of those people which the questions are concerned to, not to decide above their heads.
In the work for disabled people, Ms Pohl-Roux always involves the commissaries for the needs of handicapped people of the federal states.
The European Year of Handicapped People 2003 with the motto "Nothing above us without us" was reason enough that Ms Pohl-Roux had extended her contacts to a part of the federal government. This contact was to the federal commissary for the need of handicapped people, Mr Karl Hermann Haack, in order to inform him about the experiences with the Rosenheim Network and to involve him in the process of finding new ideas.
Because of Mr Haack, Ms Pohl-Roux was invited to participate in the initiative "Zukunft braucht Teilhabe" ("Future needs Participation"), which is going to be founded at the conference in Rheinsberg from November the 18th - 20th.
